At the north end of the only road through the Village of Godshill, you’ll come across Woods Kitchen situated in a large traditional thatched cottage, with pretty climbing foliage. The building on its own is worth its own postcard!
Godshill is one of the most well photographed areas on the Isle of Wight, due to its pretty thatched cottages and picturesque church, which has adorned many postcards and souvenir tea towels for decades
Former owner Teri Wood has returned to take over the restaurant, previously known as The Essex, she brings with her over 20 years of catering experience, and an enviable knowledge of the local market. The new menu features a host of favourites with a twist and is guaranteed to impress and tantalise taste buds.
The restaurant boasts a stunning glass garden room and outdoor patio area – making it the perfect al fresco spot to relax and soak up the ambience.
A favourite among locals is the ‘Pie Night’ where homemade Pies are served with fresh vegetables and potatoes and a drink – There are five different Pies available and these change from week to week.
The Restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10.30am till 11.00pm
