Seymour Mews is a delightfully charming Grade II listed 16th century thatched cottage, situated in the heart Godshill, one of one of the prettiest and well photographed villages in the UK, famous for its traditional thatched cottages, tea rooms and lots of visitors.

The cottage is located just off the main high street, in a quiet lane which leads to a collection of public footpaths and bridleways, making exploring the stunning rural area very easy and convenient. The cottage comprises the entire top floor of the property, above a wonderful Tea room and Bistro, which is open until 5pm.

Accessed through a private doorway from the pathway running alongside the cottage, you will find ample room for 3 people. Leading through from the well-equipped kitchen, there is a large dining room with space for up 6 people, should you wish to entertain friends.

In the living area, there is a large leather sofa and an additional reclining armchair. There is a new Smart TV for anyone who wants to keep up with the Netflix viewing whilst on holiday. The quaint bathroom is accessed through a low height doorway and features a bath with handheld shower, WC and wash basin.
The master bedroom is very light, with large traditional windows offering a view down the lane and into the centre of the village. This room has a double bed and large wardrobe and bedside tables. The second bedroom is ideal for a child, but features a full size single bed and chest of drawers. This room has views of the surrounding countryside to the south.

Within a few steps of the cottage, you’ll find a selection of pubs and restaurants, tea rooms, gift shops, a model village and a collection of historical buildings and churches dating back to medieval times. The surrounding countryside is dotted with footpaths leading in all directions, including a pleasant route all the way to Appuldurcombe house, and even a route all the way to the popular coastal town of Ventnor. The village is within a 10 minute drive of the small coastal resorts of Shanklin and Ventnor and is within easy distance of the capital town of Newport.

There is a secluded garden at the rear of the cottage, which is shared with the tea rooms during the day, but after 5pm, the garden becomes yours to enjoy privately. There is plenty of garden furniture available, should you choose to dine outside and enjoy surrounding views.
Although there is no parking at the property, your car can be parked in a quiet lane within a two-minute walk which has no parking restrictions or charges.

For those wishing to leave their cars at home, there is a regular bus service which can take you to Shanklin & Ventnor, or to Newport where you can get a bus to anywhere on the Island.

Please be aware that the pathway leading to Seymour's Mews is quite short but fairly steep. There are also a small number of internal stairs in the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £25 each per full or part week.
Please note there is a refundable £150 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.
