We had a fabulous stay at the Lobster Pot. The weather was great and it enabled us to sit on the extensive decking and eat our breakfast, lunch and dinner. When the sun went behind a tree we were able to change to the second table and chairs at the side of the property and still get the sunshine. The view over the lake was wonderful and if you like birds I recommend you bring binoculars.
The interior of the accommodation is bright and a nice living space. We were just a couple so it was ideal but we did wonder how a family of four might manage as wardrobe space for clothes is quite limited. I recommend taking a few spare hangers so you can hang more clothes in the lounge cupboard.

The location of the property is quiet and peaceful with ample parking. Access to the beach and seafront is a minute away and for us the location was what made our holiday very special. I felt quite upset when I left as I love being so close to so much natural beauty.
I'd definitely visit again.

Constructive criticism which would make staying there even better -

There was no toilet roll when we arrived so had to go out straight away to buy some. One roll would be courteous.

A table lamp or standing lamp in the lounge area would be nice for evening lighting.

Some of the decking needs a bit of tlc.

An extra electricity socket in the main bedroom would have been useful.

Minor annoyance -
We had a maintenance man arrive on our first morning to fix a few things. We had to refuse him entry as we were showering. He was cool about it but I don't know why this wasn't done during the changeover period. He arrived a week later while we were still packing to leave before 10am. There seemed to be a lack of communication behind the scenes.

None of this spoiled our stay and we'll be back in the future hopefully.

Thanks for a great holiday.

Hello Mr Chalk. Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you had a great stay at Lobster Pot and enjoyed the wildlife on offer. We hope to welcome you back one day. We take your comments on board for our future guests. Annoyingly there was a lamp in the lounge that got damaged by a guest before you. This is due to be replaced. Take care Kara
