Little Wight House, West Bay Club

Location, location, location! West Bay is the perfect base for those looking for peace and tranquility!

You'll find this charming bungalow in the heart of ever popular 'West Bay' a purpose built resort on the edge of the beautiful harbour town of Yarmouth on the Western shores of the Island. Surrounded by stunning coastline and spectacular countryside, it's easy to see why this area has been affectionally labelled - west is best!

Surrounded by 15 acres of well maintained and landscaped grounds and beautifully presented throughout, this upgraded bungalow offers the perfect base for guests who are looking for a relaxing, tranquil place to stay. An open plan reception room incorporates the lounge, dining area and kitchen and an inner lobby provides access to the double bedroom and shower room.

To the front of the property there is a seating area and to the rear a private decking area.

The property and location is ideal for cyclists, you can lock up your bike safely on the rails at the back of the bungalow. Tapnell Farm Park is the perfect place to enjoy some family time, and is perfect to visit in all weathers. Meet the wallabies, visit the play barn and enjoy spending time with the animals in the farmyard barn.

The harbour at Yarmouth is always very busy with both ferries and smaller boats, and the town itself offers a good variety of things to do for visitors. The history of the town is very evident as you walk round and a trip along the Grade 2 listed pier is highly recommended for views across The Solent, and is also known locally for being a great spot for fishing.

Yarmouth Castle, which is tucked away to the side of the ferry dock, is also a great place for sea views and family picnics during the warmer months.

Other popular pastimes are walks and exploring in the local area with two “Sites of Special Scientific Interest” nearby, the estuary of the River Yar and Bouldnor and Hamstead to the East of the town.

There is a road bridge over the river estuary which heads out of the town, and a short distance along is Fort Victoria Country Park, a Victorian gun battery which now houses a number of local attractions. It's also not far from Colwell Bay and the now very famous 'The Hut' and Totland Bay with the ever popular 'Waterfront'.

There are a number of pubs and restaurants in Yarmouth if you are looking for somewhere to eat.

There is also a licensed café at the foot of Yarmouth pier which is open all year round serving a range of food and refreshments, including locally sourced Minghella Ice Cream. There is also a good range of other eateries a short distance from the town in other parts of West Wight.
