From any ferry port, follow directions for Sandown on the south east coast of the Island. Once in Sandown, head for the seafront, and drive along Culver parade towards the end of the Bay (white cliffs). Shortly after passing the Zoo on your left, you need to take the left into Meadow Way, then the first right into Culver way. Follow the road round the corner and take the first left (also culver way). Bay Reach is 2nd house facing onto the street from the left with a large conifer hedge running along the front. It is the last house before the turning for Whitecliff Close.
The driveway can easily accommodate two cars and additional parking is available on the roadside
Well we had wonderful time in the bungalow, there was everything you needed, the communication from the owners was second to none very quick to respond. The pictures do not do the bungalow justice, it is so much better when you get there you would not be disappointed in anyway. It is close to the beach which is also good. It is also fairly close to cafes, restaurants and other amenities.
Overall an excellent place.

Great location for a perfect holiday
Modern well equipped, spacious house, with lots of space for all the family. Nice to have choice of bedrooms upstairs and downstairs. Lovely outside patio with big dining table which we really enjoyed our meals outside on. When we were not outside the big bi-fold doors brought the “outside inside” to the lovely big open plan kitchen – lounge- dining area. Great location, close to the beach and zoo (you can even hear the tigers roaring at tea time!) and a level walk to town along the promenade. If you don’t want to use your car, the bus stops just down the road and runs regularly between Ryde and Newport and a bus to Shanklin runs 3 days a week from just outside the house. Hope to be back again soon.

Superb 4 bed home
The location, 5 minutes walk from Yaverland beach and Sandown zoo, is really good. 10-15 minutes easy flat walk into Sandown, Parking for two cars. The accommodation is really well presented and spacious. We especially liked the 3 bathrooms, a real boon when there are several people all together. TV and broadband also provided. We will definatey use again!

Bay Reach Review

We keep coming back!
The 'short walk' to Yaverland beach is downhill, and takes literally 5 minutes at a steady stroll. 20 minutes walking gets you to Sandown town. We spent a week without moving the car, but the east end of the island has loads of attractions only a short drive away if you get tired of the seaside.
We have been coming to Sandown for several years, and this new dormer bungalow is a perfect base. It is indeed deceptively spacious, and very well equipped. The huge patio doors face south-ish and lead onto a patio that is entirely taken up with a table & chairs and a small garden with flowers and a lawned area. A nice touch is the strings of fairy lights around the fence which come on at night!
Ambient sounds: the sea (obviously!), gulls (can be annoying), roaring lions from the Zoo just down the hill, and occasional distant trains.
The owners are not local, but easy to contact and always happy to help.

Summer in Yaverland
What a lovely week on the Island - a great place to stay.
The house is immaculate and well appointed - more than enough space for the 6 of us.
A short walk to Yaverland Beach - one of the best on the island. Dawn chorus from the lions in the zoo was a real treat !
Some great information from the owners throughout our stay.
